A possible remedy for depression can be Ketamine

Ketamine, the substance used for tranchilizarea horses, but also an extremely powerful painkiller, could be an instant remedy for those suffering from severe depression.
Doctors at Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston, Texas, tested the effects of ketamine on people suffering from a severe form of depression. They say that this substance, which has the ability to numb the senses through a dissociative state of anesthesia, can overcome depression.
The current treatment is used for depression starts to work within weeks, during which patients recorded suicidal tendencies. Ketamine, however, starts to work immediately after administration.

Patients in the study said that the first 24 hours after administration of ketamine were calm and relaxed. "Before, everything was blurry. After treatment with ketamine I felt I could start a new life, to go home and see my friends or shopping and cooking for my family," said patient Heather Merrill, mother of three children.
If the study results will be validated, researchers will extend the testing and try to administer three doses of ketamine on the week to see long-term effects. Also, if all goes as planned, they hope to create a pill as an alternative to intravenous treatment.
Ketamine can cause some problems in the bladder, and some studies suggest that it could cause heart problems and may even worsen mental health.
